Treat Yourself To Some Homemade Ice Cream!
It’s been a long time since I’ve made homemade ice cream. As a kid, I grew up loving the sweet and delicious taste of homemade ice cream using an ice cream maker. The sound of the ice cream maker churning was music to my ears. However, because making ice cream using this method took quite a bit of time and required extra ingredients such as bags of salt and ice in addition to the recipe, my family didn’t get to make it as much as we liked. It was certainly dubbed as one of our special summertime treats.
But just in recent time, I came across this kid friendly and super easy homemade ice cream recipe that doesn't require purchasing an ice cream maker, and let me tell you…it is ice cream magic! It is so super quick and simple that my family will probably be enjoying ice cream for dessert every night from here on out!
I found this straightforward recipe off of my friend Jessica’s Instagram account @reefrainaria. You guys! My kids are in love with this ice cream. Their favorite flavor is Mint Chocolate Chip, so I will be sharing this simple homemade recipe below.
It's Better Than Store Bought Ice Cream!
This homemade ice cream is so delicious! We can't get enough of it. The recipe is arguably better than eating store bought ice cream. Well, at least my family thinks so! And, it seriously took less that 15 minutes to make and only 4-6 hours to freeze. If you make it in the mid-morning it will be ready just in time for after dinner dessert!
I hope you all will give this homemade recipe a try sometime. Let me know if you end up making this ice cream, I’d love to hear how it turned out!
On a side note, making this recipe is not really that messy. We had one of our hand held mixer thingy break off, so I just put this Amazon KitchenAid hand mixer that received over 3,000 five star reviews in my shopping cart. Can't wait to make more ice cream!
